Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNO): Today’s encounter in Srinagar’s Khanyar area, where a top Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) commander was killed, took place after a gap of nearly two years.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the last gunfight in Srinagar was witnessed on September 15, 2022, in the Nowgam area, where two terrorists were killed. The sequence of encounters in recent years has demonstrated the ongoing security efforts and the challenges faced in Srinagar, once regarded as a terror-free zone.
